Born and raised between Hong Kong and London, Kim is a citizen of the world, and works with an acute sensitivity for cultural differences and nuance. Following 4 years in New York City, Kim is now based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Deeply passionate about the role of behavioural psychology in placing brands in the hearts of individuals, Kim creates foundations for brand development that meet the innate emotional desires and needs of local individuals.

With an acute sensitivity for the ethical and sustainable responsibility brands face today, Kim works with teams to drive clear sustainable strategies in context of the customer, the company and the greater social and environmental landscape. An advocate for brand recognition earned through authentic storytelling, showcasing craft, creativity and setting people’s emotions free.

Since January 2024, Kim has been developing her skills to incorporate more responsible approaches to mental health, psychiatry and sustainable and impactful communications approaches. Having recently completed a course with The University of Cambridge in ‘Communicating for Influence and Impact’ as well as with The University of Sydney in ‘Positive Psychiatry and Mental Health’.

Often beginning with a re-evaluation of brand principles, Kim helps brands develop communications strategies that can be applied across all brand marketing touch points, tailoring needs specifically towards countries and cultures. Following through to execution and campaign planning, Kim sources local talent and knowledge to create a truly bespoke and authentic brand approach.

Beginning her career in traditional advertising at AMV BBDO, London, through her 15year career, Kim has worked both ‘Agency’ and ‘Client’ side as Strategic Marketing and Social Lead at Lane Crawford and APAC Marketing Director for French audio tech brand Devialet in the APAC market. Kim has been consulting since 2018.

-Account Director Wednesday Agency: lead the re-design of the Marks&Spencers website, content strategy and business transformation.

-Senior Account Director AKQA: Move to Hong Kong to scope the Asia Pacific market for brand led, tech innovation projects.

-Strategic Marketing and Social Lead at Lane Crawford: develop and launch the brand’s first social media strategy including the set up of all China channels, predominantly WeChat. Adopt strategic marketing thinking into the retail cycle.

-APAC Regional Marketing Director at Devialet: launch the brand across Asia Pacific, opening 8 stores in 6 months across Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei. Building the team, the appointment of communications agencies, localising global strategy and the launch of 2 successful unique partnerships with the Grand Hyatt Plateau Spa Hong Kong and Hotel Proverbs, Taipei.

Kim has been Digital Editor across Asia Pacific for Glass Magazine since January 2015.
